Properties: Heavy metal removal, free radical scavenger, nerve support, weakness. Antioxidant. For the breakdown and excretion of harmful toxins and heavy metals, including cadmium (especially in smokers); poisoning caused by microorganisms or radiation. As a preservative for amalgam fillings, especially when hot and acidic foods and chewing gum are consumed, which release large amounts of mercury from the fillings. Selenium regulates the thyroid and can be administered in conjunction with Natrium sulfuricum (no. 10) and Kalium chloride (no. 4) for its antioxidant effect on liver and cell metabolism.
Uses: For depression. For recurring, long-term infections. For herpes, macular degeneration (yellow spot). For liver detoxification, cancer prevention, and thyroid regulation. For sensitivity to herpes.
Note: In the body, selenium is important as a growth factor for almost all cells and as protection against oxidation of red blood cells, immune cells, liver metabolism, and the metabolism of the eye lens. It protects the cell and improves the absorption and transport of vitamins.
